The BirdFeeder Project
Wintry/snowy weather can mean hard times for most birds. So yesterday we bought two wooden birdfeeder assembly kits in our local pet-mart. At half-price, they were only €14.95 each. So one of them can go in the back yard, the other one in the front yard.
The kit contains all the wooden parts, a decent amount of screws and an IKEA-style instruction leaflet. The only tools required are a philips screwdriver, some patience and a curse or two. So after about one hour, birdfeeder #1 was assembled and ready to go outside & feed some birds.
Number #2 will be assembled tomorrow...

Another candleholder
Earlier this week my delayed order from December last year finally arrived! Yep, it's another candleholder to decorate our living room: a poly-resin cast of a wood-spirit. Has a green-man-style face, intricate roots at the base and branches that can hold 3 small candles.
This is him:

Wrought iron candleholder
Today I drove all the way to Eksaarde to pick up a very cool wrought iron candleholder (including 4 gorgeous bas-relief decorated candles) which I had bought last week through an online flea market for only €15.

It's constructed of 2 horseshoes welded together at the bottom and above those are 2 iron chains which have also been welded so that each end stands up to hold a small platform plus candle.

Das Unkrautland
It's been a while since I read any books. But today I received a copy of "Das Unkrautland (Auf den Spuren der Nebelhexe)" that's so chock full of gorgeous cutie-spooky characters & places that it'll be hard NOT to read it, even if it's written in German. :)
